Main Article Content
Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) has emerged as one of the most significant global public health challenges, affecting individuals across all age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds. The increasing prevalence of diabetes, particularly Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), has imposed a substantial burden on healthcare systems worldwide. Community health nursing plays a pivotal role in reducing the incidence, morbidity, and complications associated with diabetes through health promotion, disease prevention, early diagnosis, treatment adherence, and community-based interventions. This review article explores comprehensive community health nursing strategies for the prevention and control of diabetes mellitus, emphasizing evidence-based interventions, national and global initiatives, and the role of nurses in strengthening community participation and improving health outcomes.
