Abstract

The present study investigates differences in academic performance between two nursing student cohorts using Virtual ATI (VATI) assessment scores. The research focuses on evaluating subject-wise performance, variability, interrelationships among subjects, and predicted readiness for the NCLEX licensure examination. A quantitative research design was employed using descriptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, correlation analysis, and regression modeling. Findings revealed that Cohort B demonstrated consistently higher academic performance across most subject areas compared to Cohort A. Additionally, Cohort B exhibited stronger inter-subject relationships, indicating a more integrated learning structure. Regression analysis identified Adult Medical-Surgical Nursing and Pharmacology as the strongest predictors of NCLEX readiness. The study highlights the importance of integrated instructional approaches in enhancing academic outcomes and clinical competency.
