Giving birth while submerged in a tub of warm water is known as a "water birth." Water birth reduces the need for analgesics and eases labour discomfort. Women prefer water birth over other childbirth methods, and water birth facilities are slowly becoming more popular. This study employed a qualitative research approach to investigate nursing students' perceptions about water birth. For this study, focus group interviews and surveys were used to gather information on nursing students' perceptions. Using a deliberate sampling strategy, 50 final-year B.Sc. nursing students from a certain Pondicherry nursing college were chosen. Following ethical guidelines, which include informed consent, privacy, anonymity, and the option to decline participation in this study.
