Abstract

The contemporary healthcare landscape demands nursing professionals who possess not only clinical expertise but also foundational competencies in organizational management and resource allocation. This study examines the integration of commerce and management principles within nursing education curricula, exploring how business administration concepts enhance nursing students' preparedness for leadership roles and contribute to sustainable healthcare delivery systems. Through a comprehensive analysis of current pedagogical approaches, this research identifies critical intersections between management education and nursing practice, proposing an innovative framework for curriculum development. The findings reveal that nursing students exposed to business management principles demonstrate enhanced competencies in healthcare resource management, team leadership, quality improvement initiatives, and financial literacy. This integration addresses the growing demand for nurse leaders capable of navigating complex healthcare systems while maintaining patient-centered care standards. The study concludes that incorporating commerce and management education into nursing programs represents a strategic imperative for developing a resilient, adaptable healthcare workforce equipped to address contemporary challenges including resource constraints, technological advancement, and evolving patient care models.
