Abstract

The study's objective was to evaluate industrial workers' knowledge of how to prevent occupational health risks. Assessing the degree of knowledge and identifying the relationship between knowledge and particular demographic characteristics were the goals. The research design chosen was quantitative descriptive. In a particular industrial setting, 60 industrial workers participated in the study. A non-probability convenience sampling technique was used to choose the participants. Pender's Health Promotion Model served as the foundation for the conceptual framework, and data were gathered via a structured questionnaire. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to examine the gathered data
The findings showed that when it came to preventing occupational health hazards, 10% of participants had low knowledge, 16.67% had average knowledge, 28.33% had above-average knowledge, and 45% had strong knowledge. Knowledge about preventing occupational health hazards was statistically significantly correlated with educational status (p = 0.001). There was no discernible correlation between knowledge and the other chosen demographic factors. The majority of industrial workers had strong awareness about preventing occupational health dangers, according to the study's findings. Frequent health education and workplace safety training may enhance employees' understanding and encourage safe work habits.
